Session Sharing
# Session Sharing Session Sharing lets you share a live Warp terminal with other people. A shared session includes the scrollback you choose and streams new commands and output as they appear. ## What a shared session contains People with access can see the commands, output, and other terminal content included in the shared scrollback. New terminal activity appears live until you stop sharing. Session size, concurrent viewer, and sharing limits vary by plan. See the [Warp pricing page](https://www.warp.dev/pricing) for current limits. ## Sharing a terminal session 1. In the Warp app, open the Command Palette and select **Share current session**. You can also open the pane header menu or right-click inside the session. 2. Choose where the shared history starts. Warp shows the options that apply to the current session: * **Share without scrollback** - Start with new terminal activity. * **Share from current screen** - Include the current alternate-screen application. * **Share from current block** - Include the active long-running block. * **Share from selected block and onwards** - Include the selected block and everything after it. This option appears when you open sharing from a selected block. * **Share from start of session** - Include the full session scrollback. 3. Click **Start sharing**. 4. In the sharing access dialog, invite specific people, grant your team access, or choose **Anyone with the link**. Choose **View** for read-only access or **Edit** to let participants interact with the terminal. 5. Copy the session link and send it to the people you want to collaborate with. The shared terminal opens for everyone with the access you granted. :::caution [Secret Redaction](/support-and-community/privacy-and-security/secret-redaction/) does not apply to Session Sharing. Review the selected scrollback before sharing because everyone with access can see its contents. ::: ## Stopping sharing and expiration In the Warp app, open the Command Palette and select **Stop sharing current session**. This ends live access for participants. Shared session data expires seven days after the share starts. The link cannot be opened after the session expires. ## Related pages * [Agent Session Sharing](/agents/local-agents/session-sharing/) - Share agent activity and let collaborators steer the agent. * [Sharing cloud agent runs](/platform/viewing-cloud-agent-runs/) - Share a cloud run from the Automation Platform. * [Block Sharing](/terminal/blocks/block-sharing/) - Share one terminal block instead of a live session.Tell me about this feature: https://docs.warp.dev/knowledge-and-collaboration/session-sharing/Share terminal sessions with teammates for collaboration, debugging, and knowledge sharing.
